The season opener featured th ree premieres: "Inner Eye” by lim May; Douglas Websters “Falling Leaves” and “Carusof’ choreographed and performed by Elisa
Angeli, ITN Y’s principal skater and aeri-
alist and a former competitive ice dancer
for Italy.

ers Brent Bommentre, Eve Chalom, Ioel
Dear, Iamie Silverstein, Michael Solonoski
and former Finnish ice dance champi-
on Iessica Huot. Great Britain’s Penny
Coornes and Nicholas Buckland delight-
ed the crowd with their competitive “Viva
Elvis" program.
Young Artist Showcase finalist Kate
McSwain demonstrated her choreograph-
ic talents with her piece “lindurance."


The Young Artist Showcase is an online
contest for skating choreographers, men-
tored by some of the foremost artists in
skating. dance and entertainment. ITNY
is a proud supporter of these up-and-
coming choreographers.
The 201] ITNY Benefit Gala, which


honored lohnny Weir, was a sellout. Weir
performed "Meditation§' a piece he choreo-
graphed especially for the event, as wel] as
his ever-popular “Bad Romance?
